European observers and french general consulate have
welcomed the current election in kurdistan . how ever , several
malpractices were observed : intimidation , double voting ,
threats ...
Since yesterday evening , we hear that several candidates have
been threatened and that office have been attacked .
Furthermore , we hear that security forces were gathered in
mass in suleymaniah and erbil around political offices .
The french general consulate in erbil therefore calls upon all
political leaders of the kurdistan region to do everyting
possible in order to ensure that the situation remains calm ,
even there are some threats from some militants,
The kurdistan region ha made great step towards democracy .
You have proven it through these elections . such great step
forward should not be tarnished by unconsiderate actions.
